Dr Konstantinos Vakalis graduated from the Medical School of Ioannina in 2004.
He finished his training in Cardiology in 2015. As part of his training he worked in the Cardiology Ward, cath Lab, heart echo outpatient clinic, Coronary artery disease Intensive Care Unit, Accident and Emergency (A & E) Department, Cardiothoracic Surgery Ward and outpatient clinics.
He has participated in research projects in the University of Ioannina Cardiology institute (Michailidio Cardiology Centre). His main research interest was arterial stiffness clinical impact and genetic polymorphisms related to coronary artery disease occurrence and severity.
He has co-authored scientific papers in International peer-reviewed Medical Journals and regularly takes part in Medical meetings and conferences.
He has been awarded certificates in Lipidiology (2017), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Cardiovascular Prevention (2018).
Since 2015 he is the Head of the Cardiology Department of ‘Iatriki Frontida Ioanninon-Medical Care of Ioannina’.
